“Concerto in Sun” by Kimberly Boyd Vickrey of Jonesboro is part of the 2009 “Small Works on Paper” exhibit going up at the Arkansas Studies Institute this week. Besides that opening, the ASI has all sorts of things going on at this week’s 2nd Friday Art Night event, including performance art by Lily Slack and music by the Pangolin Steel Band. In Concordia Hall will be photographs by David Mann. New work in the retail gallery includes photographs by Jerry Colburn. 2nd Friday runs 5-8 p.m. July 10; trolleys will transport between the ASI, the HAM, Christ Church, Norton Fine Arts and The Arts Scene. For refreshment, hit River Market Artspace for a Limonata tasting.
